The Techno-Economic Analysis sub-team supports the Design teams in cost analysis and design trade-off studies for their respective designs. The TEA sub-team develops the necessary abilities to perform TEA based on the materials employed in the designs, the manufacturing cost, transport cost, capital and other financing costs, fuel cycle economic analysis, operations and maintenance (O&M) costs, and other cost items.
The TEA sub-team is assembled from experts in private industry, universities, national laboratories, and retired experts. Each Design Team will be connected with a point of contact within the TEA sub-team who will be responsible for supporting TEA of their design.
